Kuala Lumpur: 4 Places to See in One Day

If you travel South East Asia a lot you will inevitably find yourself in Kuala Lumpur. Getting around the city with local transport (LRT and Bus) is easy. Whether you have a long layover or a full day in KL, here are some of the interesting spots to see and visit.

KLCC is not only the business district of Kuala Lumpur but also where the icon of Malaysia is Located, the tallest twin towers in the World: Petronas Twin Towers. If you plan to enter the Twin Towers Observatory it is recommended to get there early in the morning as entrance tickets are limited.

  • 2) Merdeka Square

The area around Merdeka Square is the old city center of Kuala Lumpur. Walk around the square and you will see some beautiful heritage buildings.

KL Chinatown is all about shopping and eating. In Petaling Street you will find bargain clothes and accessories, and in Central Market/Pasar Seni you will find souvenirs and traditional crafts. Plenty of food stalls and eateries in the area and you get to choose between Malay, Indian, and Chinese cuisine.

If time permits, Batu Caves in the northern suburbs of Kuala Lumpur is worth a visit.
